The John F. and Mary A. Geisse Foundation prefers to fund:

• established rather than young organizations

• organizations with low overhead and efficient fundraising

• programs with proven success rather than new or experimental programs

• development rather than relief

• organizations that come to us through a referral

• organizations with lasting and sustainable results

• organizations specialized in their field or funding request

The Foundation does not:​

• make grants to individuals or award scholarships

• fund research projects

• fund in the areas of art or culture

• give to endowment or capital campaigns

• respond to mass mailings
